How to prepare your file

Adobe Products AND Publisher:
We are an Adobe and Microsoft Publisher Service Provider. Therefore, we accept native- all recent versions of Pagemaker7, In-DesignCS3, Photoshop , Illustrator, PDF, and Publisher03. We can accept Quark although we would prefer them converted to PDF, as we will convert Quark files generally in In-Design which may cause some shifting in graphics and text which may result in additional charges in editing. Additionally, we can accept MS Word 2000 & Powerpoint 2000, Publisher 2003 use the "Pack n Go" feature to assure proper bundling of all graphics and fonts.

Poster Printing:
If you are having large format (12 x 18 or larger) posters made and are providing artwork, keep in mind that you need to provide the artwork scaled to size and in CMYK format. Save files in PDF in resolutions of 100-600 dpi depending on desired quality of output (150 x 300 - 600 x 1200) and keep file size to under 50 megabytes. Files larger than 50 megabytes will be charged additional RIP time and you need to check with us to determine the quality standard you require. If you need us to scale or alter the artwork we will charge an hourly rate of $50.00/hr. to make necessary alterations. Please advise us if you have any special requirements for your poster such as; Ultra Violet protection, laminating, mounting, grommets, outdoor usage etc., you need to let us know as standard prints are for interior usage and have a life of 1-10 years depending on usage. Bitmap artwork will produce marginal results, best results can be achieved by using vector based artwork produced in a program like Illustrator and then converted to PDF for transportability.

How To Prepare Your Files:
IGC/Kwik-Kopy Printing accepts files by disk or CD in either MAC or PC format. Disks accepted are 3.5 floppy, CD, DVD and Thumb Drives. For e-file transmissions; always remember to provide all fonts and graphics, along with either a fax copy or PDF of the work requested so we can compare accuracy of graphics, fonts etc., with your submission, as well as the name and number of the person who created the graphics if you are not the creator. Files sent via e-mail are more prone to problems especially in native format. Fewer problems are experienced when sending PDF files and conferring with us in advance, if you are not experienced with transferring artwork via the internet.
